Epitaph

Mortifications and Lies (forthcoming);
Epitaphs (pamphlet)

Listen to the Poet Read
remember me in my skipping days
slap limbed and shiny hearted
tentative as a tight skinned balloon
frail as honey and wild with hair

remember me not remembering
and sun dully on the steel grey ocean
the salt sting and plenty treed girl
remember me beach hearted too and soft sun

remember me purple and white and brown
shy eyed always too young to know
remember me not remembering let it fall
as natural as weeping as damp as laugh

remember me before as us all
clean fingered as babies
bright as doll light as lyre thring
happy too soon for night
